"The World's Leading Horse Magazine Since 1936" congratulates Shannon Lawlor as the 2025 Best of the Culture Artists runner up for a second time.

This prestigious recognition highlights exceptional individuals and companies who are making a lasting impact on the Western Industry.

It has come with great privilege and responsibility to create the commemorative poster and original paintings for The American Performance Horseman.

More than a work of art, the poster is a tribute to the enduring legacy of the western performance horse industry. Curated from the top qualifiers of the 2024 American Performance Horseman, each portrait reflects legendary horses and riders whose dedication and competitive spirit define the highest echelon of cutting, reining and reined cow horse.

My hope is that these paintings offer more than a glimpse—they are intended as a bridge: connecting past to present, honoring dedication with intention, and carrying forward the spirit of both the American horseman and the American veteran.

At the heart of it all stands a shared and enduring symbol: THE HORSE.

Proceeds will benefit War Horses for Veterans, the program founded on the same values that define our industry—courage, resilience, and service.
