BOWIE NIGHTS (Metallic Cat x Lil Bit Reckless), bred by Russ & Janet Westfall affectionately known to those who love her as 'Charlotte' was born to leave her mark.

In an extraordinary turn of events, two-time World’s Greatest Horseman John Swales stepped up last fall to catch-ride for his sister, Veronica Swales. Having developed Charlotte, Veronica’s work laid the foundation for the remarkable performance John and Charlotte served up. They commanded a five-point lead, capturing the 2025 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Championship.

Every twist of fate, every relationship, and every challenge along the way converged on one unforgettable night. Shaped by friendship, family, tragedy, resilience, and unwavering grit, Charlotte’s journey became something far greater than a victory in the show pen. It became a defining moment in the history of the sport and in the hearts of those who live it.

Charlotte is the first filly by Metallic Cat to claim this prestigious title and she is proudly owned by Bar One Land and Cattle Company.
